Security: NSCDC Commandant lauds President Tinubu

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Audi has extolled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his resilience, support and encouragement to the Security agencies in Nigeria.

He gave the kudos to the President during the decoration of the newly promoted senior officers of the NSCDC in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Audi noted that the support has given a boost to the security agencies to confront the security challenges in the country.

The Commandant General remarked that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps through the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has received adequate support that has assisted in encouraging the agency to perform its set responsibilities creditably.

He said that the promotion was part of the agency’s efforts to clear the outstanding promotion processes especially those that have been stagnated for years and charged the newly promoted senior officers to see their elevation as more responsibility for them to add more value to the core mandates stating that the promotion was based on merit and availability of vacancies.

In his remarks at the event, the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, congratulated the newly promoted and decorated Assistant Commandant Generals (ACG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, noting that the promotion is well deserved and a call to qualitative leadership and exemplary lifestyle to set the pace for their subordinates.

He further lauded the Audi-led administration for deploying to Zamfara State a crop of diligent, tactful and outstanding officers whose ability to address the security challenges in the state has enhanced its security architecture and tackled many challenges head-on.

Lawal described them as good ambassadors of the nation capable of executing their duties efficiently.

The Zamfara State Governor was represented by his Chief of Staff, Moukta Mohammed Lugga during the decorations of newly promoted ACGs at the National Headquarters in Abuja.

The Governor attributed the numerous successes made by the Corps to the quality of leadership put in place by the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

He tasked the newly decorated Assistant Commandant Generals to justify their elevation through dedicated, effective and efficient service in fulfilment of the mandate of the NSCDC.

Speaking also, one of the newly decorated Assistant Commandant Generals of the Corps and the Commandant of the Enugu State Command of the NSCDC, Otoibhi Cyprian Ehi expressed joy on the promotion given to them describing it as a new call for service and more responsibilities in the discharge of their duties and promised that he will continue to live up to the expectation of the Corps and the nation in general.

In furtherance, he also charged his colleagues to be loyal and patriotic in service to the nation.
