Senator Mustapha, Kwara Speaker Felicitate with Christians At Easter

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Abuja, Saliu Mustapha, has conveyed his warm greetings to Christians in his constituency and the state as they join fellow believers around the globe in commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
While emphasising in his Easter message that Easter serves as a beacon of hope, Senator Mustapha reaffirmed his faith in the nation’s capacity to surmount its present challenges.
He said: “Coming at a time that Muslims faithful are also embarking on the Ramadan fast, this time should be seen as one that all of us must come together to pray for peace and also imbibe it.
“We must also not relent in efforts at promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence amongst the populace, especially at a time the government is doing all it can to stem the tide of insecurity in some parts of the country.”
Senator Mustapha commended Christians for their observance of the Lenten period and encouraged them to contemplate the profound significance of the season.
The Media Assistant to the Senator, Nasif Sholagberu, reiterated the senator’s message of goodwill and unity, emphasizing the shared values of tolerance and mutual respect that should characterize the society during these times.
Calls For Special Prayers For Nigeria
In a related message, Kwara State Assembly Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu rejoiced with Christians at Easter and urged them to pray for the nation.
The Speaker, joined the rest of the world to congratulate the Christian faithful on this year’s Easter celebration.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf, the Speaker rejoiced with the believers in Jesus Christ and urged them to reflect and imbibe the essence and lessons of the season.
He also called for special prayers for Nigeria and its leaders and for God’s divine guidance as they chart the way forward to economic prosperity for the nation.
“Happy Easter, He’s risen! To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today and always, may the miracle of Easter fill your hearts with joy, love, and gratitude. Let us celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the promise of new beginnings. Have a meaningful and blessed Easter, filled with hope, faith, and peace“, Speaker Danladi said.
