Senator Sheriff visits Niger State, promises a stronger APC

Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, an APC Chairmanship aspirant promises to unite the party if he emerges Chairman.

Sen. Sheriff, a former governor of Borno State in North East Nigeria, was in Niger State North Central for a visit to the State’s Governor as part of his plans to aspire for the Chairmanship seat.

“My visit was in recognition of Governor Sani Bello’s position as a high-ranking member of the party owing to his leadership position at both at state and national level of the party.” added Sen. Sheriff.

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State in his remarks described Senator Sheriff as an experienced politician, being a former Governor and a Senator who has the capacity and ability to unite members of the party.

He said APC as the ruling party is having its challenges, hence the need for an experienced and credible politician that would carry everyone along as the National  Chairman of the Party.

“I want us to have a stable party with a leader that would bring everyone together,” added Gov Sani Bello.

While assuring Sen. Sheriff of his support, the Niger State Governor however urged him to accept the outcome of the  APC election once concluded.
