The Management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has said that posting, relocation and other services including kit items and NYSC booklets on security, and entrepreneurship among others are issued to Corps Members on arrival at the Orientation Camps at no cost.
This is contained in a statement by the Director of press and Public Relations of the scheme, Mr. Eddy Megwa.
He advised stakeholders to beware of some unscrupulous persons who are using online platforms to defraud unsuspecting Members of the public by advertising NYSC kits that the Scheme gives Corps to Members in Camp.
“Management hereby restates its commitment to ensuring that no Corps Member is defrauded by these online advertisers.
Similarly, efforts are ongoing with the security agencies to apprehend and prosecute the faceless individuals behind these ignominious acts”.
2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Orientation Course
Mr. Megwa also instructed Corps Members not to embark on a night journey while going to their respective Orientation Camps which starts on Thursday 15th February, 2024.
In case their trip is going beyond 6 pm, they are advised to pass the night in any military or police barrack, NYSC Formation, Corps Lodges and other safe places and continue their journey the following day.
