Umar said VAI conducted the sensitisation in collaboration with UKaid-funded NGO and International Alert under a project ‘Promoting Stability, Access to Justice and Accountability’.

He noted that the sensitization programme took place in Tsafe, Bilbis, Birnin Magaji and Nasarawa-Godel communities under the Birnin Magaji and Tsafe Local Government Areas of the state.

According to him, the title of the sensitisation is, ‘Campaign for Increased Access to Justice by Addressing the Barriers’.

“We appreciate the turn-out of the participants during the activities in all the four communities. We expect them to step down the messages to their respective communities and localities,” he added.

Umar however called on stakeholders in the state to continue to collaborate as a team in sensitising communities in the fight against SGBV.
