Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has expressed his happiness as his team defeated Enyimba Football Club of Aba 1-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on Sunday.
Ogunbote described the outcome of the match as “good” for the Oluyole Warriors, still in the relegation zone.
“I’m pleased with the outcome of the. Enyimba are a big team and this result is good for Shooting Stars,” Ogunbote said.
On his part, Enyimba coach, Paul Aigbogun, was sad that despite all of the hardwork of his team, they failed to come off with a result from their trip to Ibadan.
Aigbogun said: “I praised my team for playing their best in Ibadan, sadly we lost after working so hard.”
Ibrahim Ajani’s flying header in the first half proved decisive for Shooting Stars in the Match Day 22 fixture.
Ogunbote fielded his best legs on the day as the well-attended encounter gave the spectators a lot to share.
Goalscorer Ajani was also voted as Match Hero by the journalists who turned out for the cracker watched by about 9,025 fans.
