President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has received praises for its ongoing Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway Project, particularly in Kebbi State.
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, who expressed his appreciation for the project, said it would bring transformative development to the state.
The project, dubbed President Tinubu’s “Legacy Project,” aims to enhance connectivity and economic growth in the region.
During an inspection visit to the project site in Janzomo village, near Birnin Kebbi, Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi commended the President’s commitment to completing the project.
“Kebbi State has the longest stretch of the project, totaling 258 kilometers. President Tinubu is committed to completing this as his Legacy Project,” Umahi said.
The project has also received praise from Senator Atiku Bagudu, Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, who commended President Tinubu’s dedication to completing inherited projects.
He added that President Tinubu has vowed that no project will be abandoned, regardless of the challenges.
“He is focused on innovative funding rather than engaging in blame games,” Bagudu said.
The Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway Project is expected to span 1,068 kilometers, with the contracting firm HITECH utilizing modern equipment to ensure its timely completion.
With 35 kilometers of site clearance already completed, the project is gaining momentum, and compensation payments to affected communities are set to commence soon.
