Sokoto State Governor Bags APC’s Award of Excellence

The All Progressives Congress, APC has conferred an ‘Award of Excellence and Youth Empowerment’, on Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State. 

APC Deputy National Youth leader, Jamaluddeen Kabir, while presenting the award to the Governor said the award was in recognition of the Governor’s tireless efforts in the execution of myriad of  developmental projects and youth empowerment in the state.

According to him, the governor has achieved so much in just one year in office,hence the need for the youths wing of the APC to appreciate his giant strides.

No wonder Mr Governor, that people of the state give different names such as the project governor and the alert governor.

“You have transformed the state with several projects and also pays salaries as at when due,” he said.

He underscored Governor Aliyu’s Transformative Agenda in the areas of security, infrastructure, youths empowerment, water supply, uplifting the standard of education, revamping the agricultural sector as well as boosting trade and commerce.

The Deputy National Youth leader also described Governor Aliyu’s effort in tacking security challenges in the state as worthy of commendation, hence the need to support him in that direction.

Mr Jamalulldeen espxressed satisfaction with the leadership style of Ahmed Aliyu and called on him to mentain the tempo.

Responding, Governor Aliyu thanked the Deputy National Youth leader for the award, and assured them of his resolve to continue to execute meaningful projects for the development of Sokoto State.

He reassured the APC that his administration would work in line with the party’s manifesto aimed at making Nigeria better.

He further called on the party not to relent in providing useful advice to political office holders who won elections under its platform.

The Sokoto State Governor appreciated the support and cooperation his administration enjoys from the party both at the federal and state levels.
