Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has congratulated Honourable Tukur Bala Bodinga and Hon. Kabiru Kware on their emergence as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Sokoto State House of Assembly, respectively.
The development was contained in a congratulatory letter signed by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa.
The Governor described their emergence as a glaring success to democracy and the State at large.
He commended the process through which the new leadership of the assembly emerged, and called on the entire members to give the new speaker the necessary support in order to move the state forward.
Governor Aliyu reminded the members on the need to introduce bills aimed at bringing myriad of positive developments to the state.
He assured his administration’s readiness to work with the legislature in providing the direly needed dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the state.
“As a government,we are determined to work hand in hand with both the legislature and the judiciary in order to make the lives of our people meaningful.
“We are all here to serve the good people of the state and I’m assuring our law makers of my unalloyed support at all times, “he vowed.
The Sokoto State Governor further called for support from the legislature in order to successfully implement his administration’s 9-point agenda.
According to him,the agenda is meant to better the lots of the people of the state, hence the need for support from all and sundry.
The Governor wished the new speaker and his deputy a successful tenure in office.
