Sports Minister Congratulates Elizabeth Oshoba On Historic World Title

Nigeria’s Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Elizabeth Oshoba for becoming the first Nigerian female boxer to clinch a world title.

The historic feat took place during the World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Female featherweight bout, where Oshoba secured victory in the 10th round against Italy’s Michela Braga.

Senator Enoh expressed his admiration for Oshoba’s dedication, skill and determination.

“Elizabeth Oshoba’s victory is a testament to the resilience and talent that our Nigerian athletes possess and the never-say-die spirit that we embody,” the Sports Minister said.

“She has not only made history for herself but has also brought immense pride to our nation. This achievement is a shining example for aspiring athletes across the country.”

The Minister further emphasised the importance of recognising and celebrating the achievements of women in sports.
