Stakeholders Laud Kwara State Government on Implementation of Agro-processing Zone
The National Project Coordinator for the Special Agri-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) project, Kabir Yusuf, has commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak for agreeing to pay counterpart funds to implement the SAPZ project in Kwara State.
Yusuf noted that the express approval of payment to the corresponding fund for 2023 for the implementation of the project is a giant step towards achieving the Project Development Objective (PDO) of the SAPZ program in the state.
“We view this as a fine embodiment of your wise and purposeful leadership with a unique sense of duty and responsibility in the path of governance.” Yusuf assured the Governor of the continued participation and technical support of the National Office of the Subs Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in Kwara state,to effectively deliver the promise and prosperity of the project to the people of the state.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ilorin, Bosari Toyen Issiaka, State Project Coordinator, Kwara SAPZ Project, commended Razak for showing a sublime sense of commitment to starting the project, pointing out that the Governor’s kindness toward the project over the years has been remarkable and promising.
Bosari added that this kind gesture “is a great testament to the governor’s belief in the agro-ecosystem as an engine of economic growth and social and financial inclusion.”
The administration of Governor Abdul Razak believes that the SAPZ project is yet another practical way to encourage agricultural development and wealth creation for the state’s citizens.
