The Permanent Secretary of the State House, Mr Temitope Peter Fashedemi, has affirmed that the newly signed performance contract with Directors is a measurable obligation designed to drive accountability across the State House, rather than a symbolic exercise.
Speaking in Abuja during the closing session of the three-day 2025 Management and Ministerial Performance Management System Retreat, Fashedemi said, in a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, State House, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye, that the contract outlined clear expectations and responsibilities for every directorate, forming part of the ongoing reforms in the Federal Civil Service.
He stressed that the system will assign specific targets from the director level down to junior cadres, ensuring that staff performance can be tracked, evaluated, and improved.
According to him, “the initiative is intended to make work more structured and predictable, enabling staff to understand their duties, timelines, and how their output will be assessed.”
Fashedemi further noted that, at the end of the agreed period, supervisors and staff will jointly review each task to determine achievements and areas requiring further action.

The Permanent Secretary added that the Performance Contract represents a serious commitment to efficiency and accountability in line with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for a more productive public service.
He urged all employees to recommit themselves to professionalism, integrity, and timely service delivery.
