Students Of Nigerian Army Intelligence School Embark On Study Tour

The students of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS) have embarked on a local study tour to various security agencies and institutions within Lagos.

The tour which is part of the academic and professional development curriculum scheduled is aimed at familiarising the students with the roles, duties of different security agencies, providing them with valuable insights and knowledge.

The participating students include those in the Operational Intelligence Course, Security Investigation Officers Course, and Security Investigation Non-commissioned Officers Course.

The students led by the Acting Commandant of NAIS, Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko had first stop at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Customs Service Apapa Command, where they were received by the Customs Area Comptroller, Comptroller BA Jaiyeoba.

During the visit, Comptroller Jaiyeoba delivered a lecture on the roles and duties of NCS Apapa and provided a guided tour of the command’s facilities, offering valuable insights to the visiting students.

Appreciating the visit, the Comptroller commended the NAIS for organising the study visit, emphasising on the importance of strengthening the relationship between the Nigerian Customs Service and the Nigerian Army.

Brigadier General Nwoko in a remark highlighted the academic significance of the tour, saying It fulfills course requirements for the students.”

He stressed that the visit would enhance the participants’ understanding of the roles and duties of NCS as well as other sister agencies in maintaining law and order in society.

He equally emphasised the tour’s relevance in improving the students’ comprehension of various security agencies’ functions during joint internal security operations, aligning with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy of transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated force.

The visit was an enriching experience that provided valuable insights and knowledge to the students, contributing to their academic and professional development.
