Subsidy Removal: Cleric Urges Nigerian Government to Fast-track Palliatives
By Olayide Awosanya, Lagos
The Nigerian government has been urged to fast-track its plan to cushion the effect of the petrol price hike which is responsible for hardship in the country.
Prophet John Oluwadare of Christ Redemption Bible in Ketu, a suburb of Lagos, made the appeal while addressing his members.
Oluwadare said Nigerians have sacrificed so much since the fuel price increase and the pains were becoming unbearable to the common man.
He also appealed to members to do all within their reach to support the downtrodden at a time like this in their respective communities, as the rewards are endless.
“The principle of giving is enhanced by the power of God, hence I encourage you to imbibe the attitude of giving to the downtrodden, to attract the blessings of God,” he stressed.
The man of God assured the people not to lose hope as the present situation would be over.
He further urged Nigerians to continue to pray fervently to the leaders and the country.
