Success in Fashion Industry Requires Huge Sacrifice- Expert

Nigerian designer, Ronke Gbenga, says  achieving success in the fashion industry requires immense sacrifice.

Gbenga, the Chief Executive Officer of the Abuja-based Gbenga Fashion Company,  brief Newsmen  on Friday in Abuja.

Reflecting on her journey, she acknowledged that building a successful brand was not easy due to her background.

Gbenga, however, said through dedication and sacrifice, she was able to overcome the challenges.

“The fashion industry comes with its own challenges, but determination and persistence help one excel,” she said.

“Success requires sacrifice. I have achieved all I have today because of my dedication, love, and passion for fashion.

“My passion for creating, combined with my sacrifices, has helped me build a strong brand.

“Honestly, it has never been easy; it has been a mix of both struggles and triumphs,” she added.

Gbenga further shared that her journey into fashion began with a deep love for craftsmanship and creativity.

“I always enjoyed crafting things. I would cut pieces from old leather bags and turn them into shoes.

“While learning a profession through training is important, some individuals are naturally gifted and excel in their craft even without formal training,” she noted.

She encouraged young aspiring fashion designers and Nigerians in general to put in the necessary effort and hard work.

According to her,  success only comes through dedication and sacrifice.
