Super Eagles Camp Bursting At The Seams In Kigali
Red-hot Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen led five other early arrivals at the Super Eagles’ Radisson Blu Hotel camp in Kigali yesterday as preparations intensified for Friday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Amavubi of Rwanda.
Osimhen, along with goalkeepers Amas Obasogie and Kayode Bankole, defender Bruno Onyemaechi, and home-based invitee Papa Daniel Mustapha, participated in a routine gym session designed to boost energy levels and enhance the players’ mood. In-form Genk striker Tolu Arokodare also joined the workout.
More Super Eagles Stars Set to Arrive
While these early arrivals got to work, the camp was expected to get even livelier with at least nine more players joining later in the night. Among those anticipated were:

- Raphael Onyedika

- Stanley Nwabali

Training Under Watchful Eyes
The players engaged in treadmill sessions and other fitness routines under the supervision of Super Eagles coach Eric Sekou Chelle and his assistants. The official pre-match training is scheduled for Thursday at the Amahoro Stadium as the team fine-tunes strategies for the crucial showdown.
Rwanda: A Difficult Opponent?
According to Rwanda’s leading newspaper, The New Times, the Amavubi have historically been a tough opponent for Nigeria, making Friday’s encounter even more intriguing.
The Super Eagles will be aiming for a solid start in their World Cup qualification campaign, and with key players arriving, the camp is set to hit full gear.
