Victor Boniface Assures Fans Amid Goal Drought for Super Eagles.
Victor Boniface, 24, is still searching for his first goal with the Super Eagles since making his highly anticipated debut in September 2023 against São Tomé and Príncipe. Despite making 12 appearances for Nigeria’s national team, the Bayer Leverkusen forward has yet to find the back of the net, leaving many fans frustrated.
Taking to Instagram, Boniface pleaded for patience from Nigerian supporters, writing:
“9ja plz be patient with me. The goal will come.”
Brief Super Eagles Outing Before Bundesliga Goal
This week, Boniface featured briefly for Nigeria in a 1-1 home draw against Zimbabwe, playing just three minutes. However, he wasted no time making an impact upon returning to club football, scoring his eighth Bundesliga goal for Bayer Leverkusen in a match against Bochum.
With his club form in top shape, fans remain hopeful that his first international goal is just around the corner.
