Super Falcons interim head Coach, Justine Madugu has invited 25 players, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, for two international friendly matches against Algeria at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, in Lagos.

The matches, scheduled for October 26 and October 29, will be the first home friendlies for Nigeria’s nine-time African champions since an Invitational Tournament three years ago.

Among those called up by Madugu are Oluwatosin Demehin and Spain-based forward Gift Monday.

The squad also includes a number of home-based professionals and several players from the Nigeria women’s team, who recently participated in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The friendly games marks the first time the Super Falcons are regrouping since their participation in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France this past summer, and the departure of former coach Randy Waldrum.

The Algerian team is expected to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday, with both matches approved by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

FIFA match officials from Benin Republic will oversee the games.
