Following the protest that rocked Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state as a result of the supreme court judgment validating the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule, 38 protesters have been charged and remanded in prison.
The protesters, alleged supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party blocked a section of the Lafia-Jos road in protest in Nasarawa state.
However, they were apprehended by security operatives who immediately charged them to court for public disturbance.

Supreme Court Affirms Sule As Nasarawa State Governor
The protesters were later taken to the Nigeria Correctional Custodial Centre in Lafia awaiting bail applicationon for Monday the 22nd of January.
Among the remanded protesters are five men and 33 women.
The Supreme Court had on Friday in its judgment affirmed Governor Abdullahi Sule as the lawful winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in Nasarawa State which led to protest in the state.
