Tanker Inferno: Peter Obi consoles Jigawa State, Victims’ Families

The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has consoled the Government and people of Jigawa state North West Nigeria, over the tanker explosion that occurred in Majia community which claimed may lives.

Obi while sympathizing with Governor Umar Namadi at the Government House Dutse, described the incident as a great tragedy that affects the entire nation.

He appealed to Tanker truck Drivers to be extra careful when conveying highly inflammatory commodity, urging them to ensure all safety measures with a view to curtail the reoccurrence of such sad tragedy.

Obi commended the government and people of Jigawa State for the measures implored so far, aimed at supporting the families of the victims .

Responding, Governor Umar Namadi lauded the brotherliness of Peter Obi for sparing time in a moment of grief  with the government and people of Jigawa state.

“Your visit signifies that we are one nation and is a clear demonstrations of your commitment to the lives of all Nigerians”.

He added that, jigawa State government had taken prompt action since the occurrence of the tragedy with a view to supporting the families and victims.

The Governor appreciated the concerns shown by the entire country on the tragedy that affected the State.
