Tansian University Holds 13th Convocation, Graduates First Masters Candidates

Tansian University Umunya, located in Anambra state, recently held its 13th convocation ceremony at the school event center, celebrating the graduation of its first set of Masters and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) degree candidates.
During the ceremony, a total of 380 students were awarded their first and post-graduate degrees, marking a significant achievement for the institution.
In addition to the student graduants, the university also honored individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of education in Nigeria, including the traditional ruler of Ogidi kingdom, Igwe Pharmacist Alexander Onyido (Ezechuamagha), Prince Nickolas Ukachukwu, and Tunde Johnson.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Eugene Nwadialor, emphasized the university’s commitment to academic excellence and societal development.
He highlighted the importance of the convocation ceremony as a launching pad for the graduates’ future endeavors, urging them to be good ambassadors of their alma mater.
He added that the university is a Triumph of Academic Excellence and Innovation.
Prof. Nwadialor expressed pride in the university’s achievements, stating, “Tansian University is making an impact, breaking barriers, and championing excellence without borders.
” He called for support from alumni and well-wishers to help raise infrastructure that will further enhance the teaching and learning environment at the institution.
The ceremony also made the announcement of Mr. Kelvin Ojomah as the overall Best Graduating Student, with a remarkable Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.90/5.00. Additionally, the 13th convocation featured the graduation of the first set of post-graduate candidates from the institution.
The Pro Chancellor of Tansian University, Very Rev Fr. Edwin Obiorah, reiterated the institution’s commitment to providing quality education within a faith-based framework.
He urged support for the school’s growth initiatives and encouraged graduating students to embody the values of Fr. Iwene Tansi in their future endeavors.
The convocation ceremony attracted a diverse range of guests, including politicians, education enthusiasts, and personalities from various sectors in Nigeria, emphasizing the significance of the event in the academic and social landscape.
