Tanzanian President Suluhu reshuffles cabinet
Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu has reshuffled her cabinet, just days after she cautioned ministers who she said were interested in the 2025 general election.
The changes were announced by the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Hussein Kattanga who termed them as structural changes.
Suluhu relieved from their duties the Minister of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements William Lukuvi, Minister of Industry and Trade Kitila Mkumbo, Minister of Investment Geoffrey Mwambe, and the Minister of Constitution and Legal Affairs Palamagamba Kabudi.
The new cabinet has drafted in Nape Nauye as the Minister of Sports, Culture and Arts, Adolf Mkenda as the Minister of Education, Science and Technology and Hussein Bashe as the Minister of Agriculture.
The latest reshuffle is President Suluhu’s second in one year, as changes were also made in March 2021.
