Voice of Nigeria brings the full schedule of all Team Nigeria events on Day 5 of the U-20 World Athletics Championships taking place in Nairobi, Kenya. Follow us for the latest fixtures and results.

Nigeria is 3rd on the medals table so far with 3 Gold and 2 Bronze medals as the nation’s Mixed 4x400m Relay Team were the first to claim Gold. Athlete Imaobong Nse Uko won Gold in the Women’s 400m event, while Udodi Onwuzurike also won Gold in the Men’s 200m event.

Favour Ofili (Women’s 200m) and Chinacherem Nnamdi (Javelin) won Team Nigeria’s Bronze medals.

Nathaniel Ezekiel (Men’s 400m Hurdles Final)

Team Nigeria athlete Ezekiel Nathaniel will be competing in the Men’s 400m Hurdles final by 1:15pm at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi for a chance to win Gold in the event.

Nathaniel advanced to the final as one of the next two fastest times in the semi finals as he posted a new Personal Best (PB) of 51.39s.

Ruth Agadama (Women’s Long Jump Final) 

Nigeria’s Ruth Agadama will compete in the Women’s Long Jump final by 2:25pm for a chance to claim Gold in the event also at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.

Agadama qualified for the final after jumping to a mark of 6.06m. She hit the 6m mark on her last attempt which got her through to the final.

Men’s 4x400m Final

Team Nigeria’ quartet of Chidera Nnamani, Dubem Amene, Ezekiel Nathaniel and Bamidele Ajayi will be competing in the Men’s 4x400m final by 4:10pm.

2:30 pm- Women’s 4x100m Final

2:45 pm- Men’s 4x100m Final

3:55 pm- Women’s 4x400m Final
