Tinubu’s campaign rally hits Kano State

The ancient commercial city of Kano was agog on Wednesday as thousands of supporters of the All Progressive Congress,APC, trooped out to attend the Campaign rally of the Presidential flag bearer of the party, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Party loyalists from the 44 local government areas of the state trooped to the state headquarters as early as 6am early before the road show, which started from the Kano state government house 12 noon local time to the Sani Abacha stadium, the venue for the Kano state Presidential campaign launch.

The motorcade journey span hours, as journey of 4 kilometers that takes less than 10 minutes on an ordinary day took close to 3hrs.

Many Party faithful were dressed in the party’s red, blue green and white colours with broom insigma. Flory of coloured caps were won with the Tinubu logo.

The state witnessed heavy tragic jam as security agencies and the Kano state traffic angency KAROTA made efforts to divert routes to allow for free movement for campàigners and livelihoods to go on.

Bands and local musicians were at hand entertaining people including placards with good will messages for the presidential candidate.

Tinubu arrived the Abacha stadium in a double decker open luxry bus dressed in the APC coloured traditional gwon (Agbada) putting on a brown cap with the insigma of figure 8 turn sideways indicating “breaking the chain” alongside the party Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, DG Tinubu Campaign Council Solomon Lalong who is the governor of plateau state, Governor of Kano state Umar Ganduje and many other governors and party stalwarts.

Tinubu who was urged to speak from the standing Luxry Bus because of the cheering crowd that prevented him from alighting refused to do so and struggled his way through the crowd to the erected Poduim to deliver his speech.”
