Tobi Amusan records first win of the season in Jamaica

World Champion, Tobi Amusan is back to winning ways after slow start to her season.

Amusan endured a poor start to her season, losing to Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn who ran a world leading time of 12.31s to win the women’s 100m Hurdles at the LA Gran Prix.

She saw off challenge from American star Tia Jones, and Jamaica’s Megan Tapper to win the women’s 100mH at the Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica on Saturday.

The 26-year-old Commonwealth gold medalist clocked 12.57s (-0.4) a new season’s best to the win the race.

Tia Jones finished 2nd in time of 12.72s while home favourite, Megan Tapper ran 12.80s to take the 3rd spot.
