Tobi Bakare, Chidi Mokeme nominated for EMY Africa Actor of the Year 2023
Nigerian renowned acts, Chidi Mokeme and Tobi Bakre have been nominated for the EMY’s Actors of the Year category 2023.
The Executive director of EMY Africa awards, Kojo Soboh, spoke at a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, emphasising the celebration of past winners and nominees. He shared the vision of EMY Africa to honour men with distinguished values and significant achievements.
During the press conference, Kojo Soboh announced the nomination of Tobi Bakre and Chidi Mokeme for the Actor of the Year Awards. Fans of these actors are to cast their votes on the EMY Africa Awards website (www.emyafrica.com)

Expressing his enthusiasm for EMY Africa, Kojo Soboh said he felt welcomed in Nigeria and emphasised the role of EMY Africa in celebrating Africa and promoting representation.

Previous Nigerians who have worn several categories of EMY Africa include Don Jazzy, Tony Elumelu and Ebuka Uchendu for Man of Style 2021, and a host of others.
The EMY is traditionally held in Ghana, but this year, the organizers decided to bring the event to Nigeria after successfully running for 7 years.
