One of the Traditional Rulers in Nigeria has urged the National Population Commission NPC to leave no stone unturned for the country to achieve credible Census in 2023.

The Traditional Ruler of Ham Chiefdom, Dr. Jonathan Danladi Maude made this known when he received a Federal Commissioner of NPC Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa representing Kaduna State, at his Palace in Kwoi in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State North-West Nigeria.

The Traditional ruler also pledged his support to the commission in achieving the ongoing Trial Census so that the Commission will achieve its mandate.

In his response the Commissioner of the National Population Commission, Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa said the Commission is working to ensure that no one is left out in the coming Population and Housing Census.

Dr. Durunguwa during his tour visit to monitor the activities of the commission in the State added that the Trial Census is a mock exercise which the Commission does to observe the challenges ahead of the National Census.

The mock exercise is carried out in forty-five enumerated areas across the State.

He however called on other traditional rulers in the state to support the commission during the Trial Census to achieve its mandate.
