Troops Neutralise Terrorists in Borno State

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have sustained intense offensive operations against Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Borno State North East Nigeria, recording notable successes in clearance, fighting patrols, and blocking operations.

The operation in a statement by the spoksperson of the OPHK, Lt Col Sani Uba led to the recovery of terrorist flags, weapons, and magazines.

Under Operation Desert Sanity V, 11 terrorist fighters surrendered with their AK-47 rifles and assorted ammunition on January 10, 2026, following sustained pressure along the Azir-Wajiroko axis.

Earlier, on January 9, 2026, troops conducted extensive clearance operations in the Bulaagalda cluster, destroying several active terrorist enclaves and camps, including the notorious Abu Nazir and Abu Ahmed camps.

In a related operation, troops engaged JAS/ISWAP elements between Sojiri and Kayamla villages, neutralizing 8 terrorists and recovering AK-47 rifles.

Two suspected terrorist logistics collaborators were also arrested at Gubio LGA for supplying terrorists with logistics.

The operations demonstrate the military’s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace and security in the North East region.
