Tunisia reports 5,251 daily COVID-19 cases

Tunisia reported a high record of 5,251 daily COVID-19 cases, raising the total tally in the North African country to 414,182 on Tuesday, according to the health ministry.

The ministry said in a statement that, “The death toll from the virus rose by 106 to 14,843 in Tunisia, while the total number of recoveries reached 352,180.

“The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Tunisia reached 3,117, including 584 in intensive care units and 136 others mechanically ventilated,” it said.

A total of 1,702,122 lab tests have been carried out in Tunisia so far.
