UAE Announces Cabinet Reshuffle
UAE Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid announced a cabinet reshuffle
As part of the shake-up, Maktoum bin Mohammed was appointed deputy prime minister for financial and economic affairs.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum also appointed Mohammed Fadel al-Mazrouei as minister of state for defence affairs.
Meanwhile, other appointments include Mariam Almheiri, who was previously minister of climate change and environment, and was made head of the international affairs office in the Presidential Court, while Amna Al-Dahak Al-Shamsi was chosen to replace Almheiri.
Also, UAE astronaut Sultan Al-Neyadi was appointed minister of youth. Posting on X, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said Al-Neyadi “has served his country in the military and space sector, as well as served humanity in the scientific field.”
