The United Arab Emirates has firmly rejected allegations made by the Port Sudan Authority, describing them as baseless, lacking evidence and part of an ongoing campaign of disinformation.

In a statement attributed to UAE officials, it said that the claims, coming from one of the warring parties in Sudan, was intended “to manipulate public perception, derail peace efforts, evade moral, legal and humanitarian responsibilities to end the country’s devastating civil war.”

“These unfounded allegations lack any evidentiary basis and represent an attempt to distort the truth, undermine the peace process, and divert attention from the urgent need to end the conflict,” the statement read.

The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to supporting peace and stability in Sudan, emphasising the importance of accurate information and constructive dialogue in resolving the conflict.
