Udinese coach, Gabriele Cioffi, has backed misfiring Super Eagles striker Isaac Success to score at least 10 goals this season after he missed a penalty in the club’s 1-1 draw against Atalanta in their last match.
Success missed a chance to score his first goal of the season failing to convert a penalty kick in the 31st minute as Udinese were held at hope after Ederson’s 92nd-minute equaliser canceled Wallace’s 44th opener.
The Nigeria international has had a poor start to the 2023/24 season failing to find the back of the net in 11 league appearances this season.
The former Watford forward only scored two goals in 32 appearances across all competitions last season.
Despite his lack of goals Ciofi has backed the Nigerian to come good this season also confidently stating that he would score eight to 10 goals before the end of the season.
Isaac will score 8-10 goals, like Lucca he will come close, like Florian, like Pafundi who I don’t know how much space he will have.
“Playing well, they are playing games at the highest level, they won’t break the deadlock, we will find the goal in another way,” Cioffi told newsmen.
Success was in action for 82 minutes coming off for Lorenzo Lucca. His compatriot, Ademola Lookman was a second-half substitute for Atalanta replacing Mario Pasalic after the half-time break.
