UGANDA: Entebbe International Airport Resumes Operations
Flights to and from Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport have resumed following a disruption caused due to bad weather, wherein a plane veered off the runway.
The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, UCAA, spokesperson Mr Vianney Luggya, said that the main runway had now been reopened for flights.
“Please note that Entebbe International Airport’s main runway (17/35) is now open and flights have been given clearance to resume. We thank you all for your patience,” Luggya said.
A RwandAir plane veered off the runway, interrupting regional and international flights.
“All the passengers disembarked safely and the situation is under control,” UCAA said.
