Uganda’s President calls for Ethiopia Summit
Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has called for a meeting of East African leaders to discuss Ethiopia’s civil war. Reports said quoting Uganda’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
“President Museveni is in touch with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on the ongoing situation in Ethiopia and has expressed concern at the refusal by the Tigray group to engage in negotiations and reach a ceasefire. So we’re concerned.” Uganda’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Okello Oryem said
The meeting has been called for 16 November, Reports said.
On Thursday, US envoy Jeffrey Feltman is due in Addis Ababa to discuss the conflict amid rising concern that it could escalate further.
