Nigeria’s President, Muhamnadu Buhari has arrived in New York to participate in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He was received in the early hours of Monday by Nigerian officials in New York.
The theme for this year’s session is: “A watershed moment: Transformative solutions to interlocking challenges.”
The Nigerian Leader is expected to address the assembly on Wednesday, September 21, when he will deliver Nigeria’s National Statement.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with selected leaders of other countries, to strengthen ties as well as showcase investment opportunities in Nigeria.
This will be President Buhari’s last outing at UNGA, as he prepares to exit office in May 2023, at the expiration of his tenure.
