The Kwara State Governor and Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Chairman, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq says Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa, is moving forward under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Governor told journalists after leading his colleagues to a meeting with the President ahead of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

AbdulRazaq expressed hope that the ongoing reforms in the country would yield great benefits for the citizens.

“Nigeria is moving forward. Our doors are open for business and investment. You can see from the recent pronouncement of the federal government on subsidy removal, and exchange rate liberalisation, things are beginning to move forward. Foreign exchange is now more robust than ever” he emphasised.

According to him, “For the economy, wait for one year, and you see where Nigeria will be”, he assured.

The governor explained that when a nation embarks on reforms, there are some slight adjustments, that such a nation goes through.

“Like I always say, it’s like the pains a pregnant woman goes through during pregnancy. The joy of childbirth is what you see next year,” he declared.
