University Acting Vice-Chancellor encourages Youths on self-development

The Baze University’s Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kathleen Okafor has encouraged graduates to pursue self-development, join professional associations and enhance digital skills for the evolving workplace.

Prof. Okafor stated this during the institution’s 10th convocation ceremony in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor who highlighted the institution’s growth in academic programs, increasing from 72 in 2022 to 102 emphasized the role of women in economic regeneration.

She urged them to participate actively in family and national resources for fairness and justice.

The ceremony honoured the late Justice Mohammed Bello and the late Hajiya Maryam Babangida with Honorary Doctorates.

Achievements

Morenikeji Adebanjo, a 20-year-old graduate of Law from Ogun State, secured the top position among 388 undergraduate candidates at the ceremony.

She achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.81 out of 4.0.

Oseloka Zikora, a Mass Communication master’s student, excelled with a perfect 5.0 CGPA among 225 candidates.

During the convocation ceremony in Abuja, Adebanjo acknowledged the collective efforts of her lecturers, family and the institution for her success.

Expressing gratitude, she pledged to contribute to society through mentorship and leveraging law as a tool for positive change.

Roosevelt Ken-Ebeku, SUG President, applauded the institution’s management for diverse social activities.
