US-Africa Leaders’ Summit: President Buhari Returns To Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari is back to Abuja after attending the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit.

President Buhari, who touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja was received by the Minister of State for the Capital Territory Ramatu Tijjani, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali and heads of other security agencies. 

The Nigerian leader has been away in Washington DC attending the summit, organized by the US government for African Leaders.

At the summit, US President, Joe Biden, hailed President Buhari for deepening democracy in Nigeria and Africa.

He also urged African countries holding elections next year, to ensure they hold peaceful and transparent polls.

President Buhari used the opportunity to woo US investors to Nigeria, assuring them that the atmosphere is conducive for them to do business.
