US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken has arrived the State House to begin bilateral talks with the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Mr. Blinken arrived at the State House by 7pm local time and was received by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar.
Blinken began a four-country tour of the continent with an official visit to the Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Angola.

The key priorities of Blinken’s visit to Africa is to bolster security partnerships and enhance health and economic development in the West Africa region.
Among top government officials who received him were Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris and Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake.

After the meeting, he is scheduled to have a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, before his departure later this evening for Lagos, where he will meet with the business community.
