The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan UI, Professor Kayode Adebowale, has called for an enduring and sustainable partnership between the University and the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN.

Professor Adebowale made the call, on Wednesday, at the inauguration of the two committees set up to manage the collaborative Postgraduate Programmes at the CBN Center of Excellence situated within the University campus.

He noted that the University and the CBN were already in a partnership and assured that the University, with its structures, rules, and regulations, would ensure that the partnership worked.

Adebowale promised that the academic activities of the Center would be insulated from strikes and industrial actions, adding that its programmes would be uninterrupted, as lectures are expected to start in the first week of April, 2023, in specialised postgraduate courses in Accounting, Banking and Finance, and Economics.

The two committees that were inaugurated are the Programme Center Committee and the Center Finance Committee, with membership drawn from among academic staff and top functionaries of the CBN.
