Victor Osimhen Puts Drama Aside As Napoli Beats Udinese
Napoli got back to winning ways, with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen seemingly putting the drama behind him aside after scoring a goal to help the Italian Serie A champions to a 4-1 victory against Udinese, at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples.
The tension in Napoli was sky high as Osimhen’s agent threatened legal action for a video on the club’s official TikTok account, which mocked the striker for missing a penalty against Bologna.

However, it took Napoli only a quarter of an hour to be awarded a penalty kick when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was fouled inside the area. After a VAR review, it was Piotr Zielinski who took responsibility and fired the spot-kick into the net to open the scoring.
Top marksman Osimhen then scored in the 39th minute, meeting a magnificent pass by Matteo Politano and beating the on-rushing goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.
Napoli winger Kvaratskhelia finally got his goal after a long drought for the champions, pouncing on an error by defender Jakub Bijol before beating Silvestri from a tight angle.
Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic then came off the bench and scored a stunning solo effort, as he rode several tackles to finish all by himself to make the scores 3-1.
However, Napoli restored its three-goal advantage moments later when Giovanni Simeone scored a header to put the result beyond doubt for the champions as the match finished 4-1.
