The Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, has applauded the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris for the developmental project in his hometown Malagi.
Malam Ndace gave the commendation during the inauguration of various projects executed by the Minister, which are aimed at bringing succour to the people of Malagi in Gbako Local Government Area of Niger State, North Central Nigeria.
He described the projects, which included a befitting mosque, an Islamiyya school, a solar-powered borehole, and the renovation of a primary school, as remarkable achievements.
The DG VON stated that the minister’s initiatives exemplify the spirit of giving back to society, particularly to his ancestral community, and will significantly improve the lives of its residents.
He expressed confidence that the community will continue to benefit from meaningful developmental projects spearheaded by a “son of the soil.”
Malam Ndace, who was in the minister’s entourage during the commissioning ceremony, commended the people of Malagi for their hospitality and cooperation in accommodating the large number of visitors who attended the event.
He also urged the community to ensure proper use and regular maintenance of the projects, noting that the minister has plans to bring more initiatives with direct economic benefits to the community and Niger State as a whole.
