The Director General of Voice Nigeria, Mal Jibrin Ndace, has reaffirmed his commitment to maintain and strengthen the existing relationship with DW Radio Germany.

Emphasizing the significance of broadcasting, Ndace commended DW Radio for its continuous broadcast of the Hausa language across the West African Sub-region.

Expressing his eagerness to expand collaboration with DW Radio, Ndace announced plans to expand the Voice of Nigeria’s outreach by introducing Mandarin, Bahasa, and Portuguese languages alongside the existing seven languages broadcast by the station.

Noting further, the DG advocated for the co-production of content with DW Radio, particularly in addressing the pressing issue of human trafficking along the Subsaharan border where they rely on VON for authentic information.

Temitope Olatubosun, Head of the Distributions department at DW Radio, lauded Voice of Nigeria for maintaining a strong relationship over the years.

During preparations for DW Radio’s migration to the digital platform, Olatubosun assured Voice of Nigeria of continued collaboration.

In a significant gesture, Olatubosun extended an invitation to Mal Jibrin Ndace to attend the Global Media Forum scheduled to take place in Germany in 2024.

He emphasised DW Radio’s commitment to maintaining training relationships with Voice of Nigeria and other partner organisations in Nigeria.

This collaborative effort marks a pivotal step towards enhancing global broadcasting initiatives and addressing shared challenges in the broadcast industry.
