The long-anticipated debut of the inaugural National Citizens’ Engagement Forum on Security, organised by the Voice of Nigeria (VON), has finally arrived, drawing a diverse and influential audience eager to witness this landmark initiative.

The forum is conceived as a platform to foster inclusive dialogue between Nigeria’s security institutions and the general public. It aims to enhance participatory governance and deepen citizen involvement in national security discourse, a core element of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dignitaries are already arriving to participate in the historic programme. Among the distinguished guests expected are Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; and the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, all set to play active roles in advancing the forum’s objectives.

This forum marks a significant step in aligning security strategies with the aspirations of the Nigerian people, reinforcing the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability and collaborative nation-building.
