The Management of Voice of Nigeria VON has paid a condolence visit to the family of Mrs Ngozi John- Anigbogu, former Director, Special Duties whose sudden death occurred on Saturday last week.
Condoling the family, the Director-General of VON, Mr Osita Okechukwu who led the delegation remarked that the news of the death of Mrs Anigbogu came to them as a shock, describing her as a committed staff who put her best for the progress of the job.
“We are in deep pains over her death, but we cannot question God, all we have to do is to continue to pray to God to accept her soul to rest in peace,” Okechukwu said.
Mr Okechuku noted that her death serves as a reminder to the people that death can visit anybody at any given time and prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Also speaking, the Executive Director- News, Voice of Nigeria, Mr Ahaziah Suleiman, also prayed for the repose of late Mrs. Anigbogu describing her as a devoted Christian who was passionate about her duties.
“We will miss her so dearly but we pray to God to comfort the family, staff and management of the voice of Nigeria,” he said.
Earlier, the husband of late Mrs. Ngozi John-Anigbogu, Mr. John Anigbogu narrated how his wife’s death took them by surprise.
Late Mrs. Ngozi John- Anigbogu, until her death, was the Director, Special Duties and hails from Oraeri town in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state, South East Nigeria.
She left behind, her aged mother, her husband, Mr. John Anigbogu, siblings, two children and other relatives.
