VON Partners With NICO On Children Cultural Fiesta

The National Institute of Cultural Orientation, NICO is to stage a two day cultural fiesta in Lagos and Abuja between Thursday and Friday this week on promoting cultural diversity and cohesion for schools.

The Lagos version of the programme is scheduled to hold at the Media Centre of the News Agency of Nigeria National, NAN Theatre Complex.

Students from selected schools are to contest in various competitions that highlights the theme of the year’s edition tagged ‘cultural diversity and national cohesion; the role of Nigerian youths.’

At the event hosted by the Nigeria Institute for Cultural Orientation in partnership with Voice of Nigeria, an international NGO, Ashoka Innovators is expected to motivate Nigerians to be a change agents, with a focus on youths engagement in leadership.

According to the Lagos Zonal Director of NICO, Ohi Ojo; the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the National Troupe, Professor Sunday Enessi Ododo would be the special guest of honour with former Executive secretary of NICO, Chief Mrs. Victoria Agodo are expected to lead discussions at the event.
