Voting has ended in the Presidential Primary Election of the governing party, All Progressives Congress APC taking place at the Eagle Square in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital.
The voting which commenced on Wednesday at about 2 am Nigerian time, ended at about 8 am.
A total number of 2,203 accredited delegates voted in the election and 117 were unavoidably absent from the convention.
The delegates cast their votes to produce a flag-bearer from the 14 aspirants vying for the position. The aspirants include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Mr Bola Tinubu, President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Former Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, Billionaire businessman Tein Jack-Rich, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Ikeobasi Mokelu, Robert Borrofice and former Minister of State Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajuiba.
