Vice President Kashim Shettima has celebrated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marks his 74th birthday, lauding his reform-driven leadership and policy direction.
In a message marking the occasion, the Vice President described the President as a man of vision and courage whose administration is already repositioning Nigeria, with visible outcomes across critical sectors.
He said the Renewed Hope Agenda continues to steer the country towards sustainable prosperity, citing key economic indicators as evidence of progress.

“As you turn 74 today, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating a leader whose Renewed Hope Agenda continues to reposition our nation on the path of sustainable prosperity.” The Vice President stated.
Shettima noted that the past year has recorded notable economic milestones under the President’s leadership, including improved GDP growth, easing inflation trends, and rising foreign direct investment.
“This past year has witnessed remarkable economic milestones under your purposeful leadership. Our nation’s GDP growth has accelerated beyond projections, inflation trends show sustained decline, and foreign direct investment has surged to levels unseen in years.” VP Shettima explained.

He further highlighted the administration’s focus on infrastructure development, describing it as critical to long-term national growth and economic expansion.
“Your resolute focus on infrastructure development is creating the arteries of commerce that will power Nigeria’s prosperity for generations to come.”
The Vice President also commended the President’s resolve in taking difficult decisions in the national interest, noting that such actions would define his place in history.
“Beyond policy and economics, what distinguishes your leadership is an uncommon fortitude: the willingness to make difficult choices today for a better tomorrow. History will record that you chose the path of reform over the comfort of populism.” The VP commended.
Reflecting on his experience working closely with the President, Shettima described it as both instructive and inspiring.
“Mr President, working alongside you has been a masterclass in decisive governance and principled leadership. Your capacity to balance empathy with firmness, vision with pragmatism, continues to inspire those of us privileged to serve with you.”
He also prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and good health for the President as he advances his administration’s reform agenda.
“As you mark this special day, my prayer is that Almighty Allah grant you robust health, renewed vigour, and continued wisdom to complete the vital work of national transformation you have begun.” The Vice President added.
