Vice President Kashim Shettima is presiding over a virtual session of Nigeria’s Economic Council (NEC).
The National Economic Council is a statutory body that meets every month under the chairmanship of the vice president.
The council usually reviews the performance of the economy as well as considers measures to boost the economy.
The council also advises the president on economic matters.
VP Shettima is participating from his office while the thirty-six (36) state governors, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and other members of the council are also participating virtually from their various offices.
