The WAFU B U-17 clash between the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria and Togo’s Junior Hawks, originally scheduled for Wednesday on the Rugby Stadium Pitch at the University of Ghana in Accra, has been postponed to Thursday due to a waterlogged pitch.

The match will now take place on Thursday morning, May 23rd, at the same venue.

According to U-17 media officer, Francis Achi, there were no preparations ahead of the event and initial skepticism about whether the game should proceed led to its rescheduling.
After securing a draw against Burkina Faso in the opening match and a 1-0 victory against Niger, the Golden Eaglets have accumulated four (4) points so far in the competition.
The final match will determine the Golden Eaglets’ fate in their journey to the U-17 World Cup tournament.
